Dear friends and fans of PLACES!

We have been presented with some “once in a lifetime” opportunities that are greater than anything we’ve ever imagined and we are reaching out to you in this time of need. Now, more than ever, we need your support! These amazing opportunities are going to include recording our new album, followed immediately by a charity tour for kids in need, then finishing with a full college tour that will ultimately carry us across all 48 Continental States, as well as Venezuela, the Dominican Republic and Cuba!

Our New Album

We are heading into the studio to do a new album in early May with Grammy Award winning artist/producer Greg Richling (of The Wallflowers, Macy Gray, Fiona Apple) and engineer Brian Cook (of Train, The Goo Goo Dolls, Dave Matthews, Beck, Walk Hard). This amazing duo has produced incredible records (used in film, television and radio) that have sold millions of copies worldwide and winning prestigious awards in the entertainment industry. This is also a team who sees great potential in our band and has agreed not only to produce our new record, but to mentor us into the big leagues! This is HUGE and we are all so excited to begin working together. The potential opportunities we can receive from this record include: national radio play, huge exposure to large markets, as well as film and TV publishing. With the experience, vast network and creditability of our production team, our album is the tool that is going to get our foot in the door with larger bands and industry companies.

Reach Across America Tour

Immediately following the recording of our sophomore album, we will gear up and head out on the road as part of the “Reach Across America” tour. This charity was founded by 3rd Millennium Group, endorsed by Carlos Gonzalez and Ubaldo Jimenez of the Colorado Rockies, and sponsored by The Sandlot Sports Center, Bono's One Campaign and the “Live The Dream” Foundation. Traveling across all 48 Continental States, we will be collecting baseball and other sports equipment for less fortunate children in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic and Cuba. Along the way we will be connecting with the kids, playing charity events during the day, and then playing clubs at night. The goals of this charity are to raise awareness for the less fortunate, gather equipment from Americans across the country and arrive as ambassadors of American culture with support for the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Cuba. We will be one of the first American bands to ever play in Cuba, and we will represent our country proudly!

Documentary

During the tour, we will be filming a documentary that will be submitted to film festivals and networks nationwide. This film will chronicle a band traveling across America not only helping the less fortunate in other countries, but also supporting our own less fortunate with free concerts and performances all across America. It will capture us performing in all parts of the country, connecting with our fellow Americans through our music and America’s favorite Pastime. Once the U.S. tour is complete, the documentary will showcase the second part of the tour, which is our triumphant arrival to the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Cuba! With our documentary, we want to convey the message that if everyone took the time to help each other, the world would truly be a better place.

How can you help?

All of these wonderful opportunities aside, we are currently financially unable to support our costs independently. We need to raise $15,000 to make our album a reality, as well as cover the other expenses in preparation for the tours. It is crucial that we have this album with us to reach new fans as we travel the country and world. We know that this amount is big, but with enough people, we can make it happen. We have established a fundraising plan which includes a website with incentives that will make YOU a part of our band and a part of our world! Check out the included chart for more details on that! We are working diligently to raise as much as we can as a band, but the realization of falling short of our mark of $15,000 is beginning to set in. We are asking for anything you can spare. We understand that times are hard – that’s why we are in this situation – but we are turning to our friends and our fans in hope that you can help. These opportunities are bigger than money. They are about dreams, changing lives, moving people. If you choose to donate, you are becoming part of the family, part of the cause, and your name will be recognized (credited in the documentary and in our album!) We are extremely grateful for all of your support thus far, but we need to see how far we can take this. If you believe in us, if you believe in this cause, and if you believe in dreams, then join us in our journey! Thank you all for your love and support. Let’s do this together! Best, Tyler, Jordan, Checkers, Brian, Branden, Drew and Jon. PLACES
